An Aside: The Trying Plight of Bashful Creators
It’s a family trait with us. This is how we do. We are so afraid of the world at large… We hide ourselves, while honing our tangible creations in virtual isolation. And when they are readyโ be it art, a breakthrough product, or a piece of writingโwe try to push them out, into the light…
But now the seclusion bites us in the ass: no one knows us in this vast and crowded universe. And, by extension, no one pays attention to our creations.
NOW, we are forced to make attempts at building some sort of awareness, while our achieved accomplishments stand in obscurity… It hurts…
The times of opportunities to be noticed for your merits and achievements are long gone. In our present backward world it works in the opposite wayโin the most artificial manner. Clever people get out there first, make the mere fact of their existence known. And if they get luckyโand only thenโthey start thinking about capitalizing their “presence” through the variety of opportune means. It’s maddening…
But, of course, one can keep trying… Keep pushing, perservering… Keep making an effort on behalf of our creative babies, waiting to be recognized…
What else can we do? We must accept that we didn’t comply with this contemporary craziness… That we devoted ourselves to creating something instead. And we must expose ourselves to the things that info-compilers tell us we should’ve done before… We have to give it a chance… We can’t give up…
So, I’m not surrendering. Check it outโ“Fireworks and…” the Novel
