The Visual Meditations on Traveling for a Performance

When you steep your novel in a brew of personal experiences, when you share the impressions collected over your lifetime with your charactersโ€”you inevitably make yourself vulnerable, susceptible to the pangs of nostalgia.

It happens every time I invite the readers to peek behind the scenes of Fireworks and Other Illuminations. I end up reliving one or another bit of my past.

These images were floating in my mind while I was writing the Traveling for a Performance post. They brought about this moody sequence. It reflects the emotional state my memories evoke.
